Note: Updating your Vortex detector to the latest firmware version is critical in order to ensure proper coil performance and accurate Target ID. The current firmware required for each detector is as follows: Firmware 5.02 or higher for VX5; Firmware 7.02 or higher for VX7; Firmware 9.09 or higher for VX9. Due to its unique connector, a Vortex searchcoil in not compatible with other Garrett detectors, such as the ACE series, AT detectors, or Apex.
