FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Is there any flexibility in these numbers?

Absolutely! If you’ve made it this far, we encourage you to talk to one of our experts about how you can address the needs of your facility in a way that is sensitive to your specific requirements.

  • What product(s) are used for this breakdown?

For this estimate, we are assuming that users are employing the Paragon walk-through metal detector and supporting it with secondary screening using the Guide hand-held metal detector. The competitor savings assumes a similar “weapons detector” plus hand-held secondary screening combo.

  • What if I have changing security requirements?

For estimating purposes, always use your most common “tough day” – your highest patron quantity, shortest ingress requirements, and most secure threat profile. While you don’t need to imagine the absolute worst case, your security should prepare for scenarios you can reasonably expect, given the compromises you would expect to make in that circumstance (such as extended ingress tolerances due to a known peak traffic scenario or elevated security profile).

  • Can I use this for budgeting purposes?

This is a great place to start budgeting conversations, but we definitely recommend talking to one of our experts for a more exact figure. Also, different facilities can have additional considerations that may raise or lower the staffing and unit requirements for their location. If you are pre-budgeting for next year, make sure you set Length of Ownership to 1 year, but we don’t recommend using this tool for final budgeting. For that, you should get a real quote.
