He writes, “A cast copper alloy, a gilded figurine of Jesus on the cross from a crucifix of Medieval to Post Medieval date, about AD 1250 - 1600. The figurine is incomplete, with the arms below the elbow and both feet missing. The reverse of the figurine is concave, but the front has been decorated in relief. Furthermore, there was a religious college, now ruined, a couple of fields from where this was found and the museum people believe that this was ripped from a wooden cross during the English Reformation, so approx 1530-40s.”
