My United States favorite find for February 2016 is the 1850 U.S. One Dollar Gold Coin, found by Tom M. from Texas, with his AT Pro.

Tom’s story: “Dear Garrett folks, Thought y’all might enjoy a testimonial in regards to your AT Pro. I belong to 2 clubs who’s members have a variety top of the line machines. Your machine beat them all this past year in our competitions. We have several categories: jewelry, coin, relics, judges choice, and scavenger. We also had a challenge by the president of our club to try to beat him. Points are awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place each month at our meeting. With your machine I won all but the jewelry category. Keep up the good work on your products.”

WINNER #2
My second U.S. favorite find for February 2016 is the Civil War Saddle Ornament, found by Randall B. from Indiana, with his Ace 350.

Randall’s story: “My buddy from work invited me to go hunting with him at a local quarry and that’s where I found it! After hours of nothing but cans and junk (while he found early wheats, mercs, and war nickels) I almost gave up. I swung down by some water and heard a nice “DING!” Thinking it was nothing I almost passed it by but then thought “ehh why not”. I dug around this object and pulled it out of the ground. My heart sank because I thought maybe it was an emblem off of a car. I got on a facebook detecting community after I got home and found out exactly what it is. A civil war saddle ornament! I would like to thank Garrett for making such great machines. This has opened many doors for me including a hobby that me, my brother, and my friends can all do together.”
