My first favorite U.S. find is the War of 1812 Artillery Regiment button, found by Erin C. from New York with his AT Pro.
Erin’s story: “On a trip to a recent discovered cellar hole in the woods, The day wasn’t giving many signals but iron. I swung on and I am so glad that I did. I managed to lock on to a solid repeatable tone and was shocked when I pulled out this War of 1812 Artillery button! This button displays back marks of “WISHART”+“NEW YORK.” I now display this piece very proudly in my home.”

My second favorite U.S. find is the Eyland and Hayden S.C. Button, found by Sebastian D. from South Carolina with his AT Pro.
Sebastion’s story: “I found this ultra rare button in a union camp I have been working for over a year. It’s currently under development and will no longer be with us soon. I had no idea what I had dug till I got home and cleaned it up. This button is known as the bushy tree version, and was produced through 1832-35, and abruptly stopped when Eyland passed away. It is one of the rarest versions of the S.C. buttons. I couldn’t have done it without my AT Pro.”

My third favorite find is the 1821 Capped Bust Dime, found by Mark A. from Connecticut with his AT Gold.
Mark’s story: “I recieved a new permission to detect a 1780s home and after finding two large cents, an 1889 indian head, and some other relics I moved to a new area of the lawn 10 feet off the edge of the driveway. My first signal was a solid 80 on my AT Gold, only 3-4 inches deep. I dug my plug and saw the eagle on the coin. At first I thought I had a seated dime, then I turned it over and saw the bust and knew I had a capped bust dime, 1821. I couldn’t believe it! This is only my 3rd year detecting. I cant wait to go back to that house and see what else is there. Thanks Garrett for such a great detector! :)”
