Congratulations to our US Favorite Finds winner Edwards S. from Maryland!
While searching with his AT Pro on a permission with a friend, Edward found a 1887 Leopold II Koning, 1F, Belgen coin! He shares, "We did some investigating the next day and learned that his Great, Great, Great Grand mother was a relative to the property owner, and that they came over from Germany in the late 1800s. Our best guess is that one of them dropped it while farming."

Congratulations to our January Favorite Finds winner John W. from Oklahoma. John found an H-style Mills US belt buckle with his AT Pro!
John said, “I did quite a bit of research to find an Army encampment during the Indian Wars here in Oklahoma near the Wichita Mountains. Using my AT Pro, I started finding trapdoor rifle casings. I then got an 83-84 repeatable tone and began to dig. Out came an 'H-style Mills US belt buckle'. Finding Civil War relics is one thing, but to find a piece of history on the frontier, is something I am drawn to. I ended up finding the encampment of about 25 Soldiers, and an abundance of Indian Wars relics.”

Congratulations to our US Favorite Finds winner, Brodyn J. from Vermont!
Over the years, Brodyn searched a permission to an 1800s farm field. On a recent trip, he shares, "I got a signal that sounded different; it was a 65-77 signal on the AT Pro so I decided to dig it. After digging down right around 5 inches, I flipped out a little silver star. When I got home I gently cleaned it up and I found out it was made from a silver quarter from 1856! Along with that, I was also able to see what it said, I read, 'Geo Whitcher 2nd VT Bat'."
With this information, I found out that George Whitcher joined the Vermont 2nd Battalion in August of 1864 as an infantryman. Later in March of 1865, he made a transfer to heavy artillery, which explains the artillery buttons my dad and I found 3 and a half years earlier! A little over a month later, his old battalion was present at Gen. Robert E. Lee's surrender at Appomattox Courthouse. I am honored to have been the finder of this incredible piece of history."

Congratulations to our September U.S. Favorite Finds winner Noah F. from Pennsylvania!
Noah’s dad lost his wedding band 11 years ago in their backyard. He shared, “My dad and I visited that spot almost every year and tried to find the ring, but we never could. I had saved enough money to purchase a Garrett AT Max, and learned how to use it rather quickly and with ease. I changed the tone on the AT Max so we could only hear signals between 45 and 70. After around thirty minutes of pulling a few pop tabs and my dad reenacting what happened, we found the ring!
“The AT Max gave us a good idea that the pop tabs were signals around 60 and we found the ring with a solid 51-52 signal.
“When we found the ring, my dad screamed with joy and hugged me so tight that I could not breath! My mom is really happy too because my mom and dad had matching wedding rings.”
